Working in partnership with The Cabinet – Australia, I was approached to develop a new art supplies brand identity and packaging design system for Born Art Supplies.
Born Art Supplies had an existing logo mark (created by Jacob Mahoney) but no brand identity, packaging design or and packaging design framework.
Project Objective
Design and establish a new art supplies brand that effectively appealed to art supply buyers. The project brand program consisted of:
Development of the overarching brand identity
Demonstration of how the brand identity could stretch with different price points and product quality
Product packaging design – Demonstration of how the brand identity would be implemented in a cohesive way across a large number of art product categories and ranges
Demonstration of how the brand could come to life across communication channels – online, offline and social.
The Opportunity
Identified a clear gap in the market for a brand and package design with personality that engaged the artist within, whist showcasing the product and demonstrating the product use.
The Solution
Development of an identity and package design solution that consisted of:
Brand identity asset ‘tools’ and a clear framework of use
A strategic brand ‘red’ colour for maximum stand out in-store
An intuitive packaging design system and framework with product flex
A package design system that clearly shows the product and demonstrates what the product is
