Bangalow Runners was created with the aim of connecting local 2479 runners to establish a local running community.

“Bangalow is land locked for runners due to the busy roads that surround us. I saw plenty of runners around town while I was on runs, so wanted an avenue to meet them, therefore Bangalow Runners was born”.

Purpose

The purpose of Bangalow Runners is;

  • to share the passion for running, encourage and support people. 

  • run for the feeling of moving ones body,

  • for the feeling of community.

Design Considerations

  • Create a brand that connects and supports locals

  • That appeals to all demographics and genders

  • Looks great, has personality and values

What was required

  • A logo suite that includes logo variations

  • Merch Design (Cap, singlet, training and casual tees)

  • Social Media Templates

  • Activation Campaigns

  • Website

Design Solution

  • Logo ‘B’ inspired by 1) the train track the runs through the middle of Bangalow and 2) represents a running path or track

  • Use of black and white as main colours was intentional, 1) to easily pair with runners existing gear and 2) look contemporary and relevant

The end result was a brand that has established a strong running community within Bangalow – engaging, approachable and authentic.
